The design of the BMW CE 04 is based on the flat energy storage system in the underbody and the compact drive. The freedoms and solutions afforded by the design result in a new aesthetic, such as the storage compartment that folds out to the side or the floating bench seat. Another advantage is the low centre of gravity, offering playful handling, surprising dynamics and timeless driving pleasure. The design also succeeds in blending one innovation seamlessly into the next and is characterised overall by generous, calming and minimalist surfaces.
